Scope A. Renovate existing bell tower built in 1957 by removing the existing exterior plaster skin and ornamentation. Repair damaged framing and waterproof the structure with a self-sealing type waterproof membrane prior to applying the new lath and plaster system . All ornamentation will be replicated in foam. Tile dome will be rehabilitated in place.

The existing church tiled roof will be removed so the substrate can be repaired and receive a new self-sealing waterproof membrane prior to reinstalling the existing roof tiles. The interior TPO roofs inside the tower will be replaced as well. All existing gutters and downspouts will be replicated and replaced to match existing.

Scope B. The existing arcades between the church and the office have sustained flood damage thru the years, to remedy this the existing storm drain system will be rebuilt and adjacent grades adjusted to keep storm water from entering the arcade . The existing Spanish tile flooring will be salvaged. Columns will be stripped and repaired where water damage has occurred. The existing concrete substrate will be removed to allow for the new storm drains and replaced with Paver stones. The salvaged Spanish tiles will be applied as decorative base to the existing columns in the arcade.

We had to remove the original bell tower due to the structure failing. We reframed the structural support for the dome and restored the tile and cross to its original design from 1957. 

K.D. Stahl Construction Closing in on the Finishes at Scripps Summit Pointe

Project Update:

The exterior hardscape and landscape is complete. We are now wrapping up some interior details and will be handing over the building to the owners soon.

Scope of Work: 

The building's exteriors will be built out with new finishes and features as well as various amount of hardscape improvements totaling 4,764 sqft. Addition of a BBQ Bar and Trellis to the exterior. Modifications to existing exterior canopy & exterior stairwell facades. Modifications to existing exterior storefront door openings. The interior renovations include a built to suite renovation.

K.D. Stahl Construction Project Update: UCSD Pub and Event Space Renovation

We have completed our portion of the UCSD Pub extension. We gave the pub a new handicap access ramp, new front patio and the roll up doors for the future restaurant build out.

Exterior Renovation Construction 

A large portion of the UCSD Pub Extension included an exterior patio and additional exterior venue space as well new handicap ADA ramps where designed and built to spec for the new entrance and fire escape ramp in the back.

Interior Renovation Construction

New glass panel roll up doors and finishes in the UCSD Pub & Venue. 

K.D. Stahl Construction Project Update: Toussaint Academy of San Diego

We've moved into the second phase at Toussaint Academy in the heart of San Diego, Ca. We are currently, replacing the window cladding with a black finished metal and will be removing the interior window film to be replaced with an energy efficient retrofit film.

Toussaint Academy's new exterior look is almost there. Once the new energy efficient retrofit window film is installed, this academy will be presenting well.

Project update: Phase one is almost complete as the exterior of Toussaint Academy gets repainted.

Construction Progress Update: Fallbrook Towne Centre

K.D. Stahl Construction Group Inc. and their elite team of subcontractors recently completed the Fallbrook Towne Centre exterior renovation including, new stucco finish, painted all exterior wood trim, tile inlay and the stone work around the exterior of the shopping center.

With the exterior finished we are now renovating the 3,600 Sq.Ft. Hallmark Store in the Fallbrook Town Centre. This is a Design Build project, where we hire the architect and engineers and manage the design thru permit. Creating 3 individual new commercial spaces with new bathrooms, new MEP, new entrances and new ceilings. At the end of the project we will turn over a compliant ready commercial space ready for build-outs customized for the future tenant.
